but the fight on the candidates' records for creating jobs will start next week. >> testimonials like this about baine captial, the private equity firm that mitt romney used to run. the agony, some of the money that pay for this tv ad may have come from the same company that obama is demonizing, bain capital. they had given to the obama campaign. they had given in the reelection efforts the maximum amount allowed by law $35,800. in the case of one of the donors, he didn't just write his own check to the president. he is a fund-raiser who helps the obama campaign raise money for mothers.

>> if we lost, they made money. if we survived, they made money. it is as simple as that. >> nearly all the donations from the main capitol employees were made in 2011. the obama campaign says they do not intend to return any campaign cash from bai andn please. but isn't it hypocritical to keep it? >> accepting a contribution from a particular person involved in venture capital and criticizing mitt romney who made his record as a venture capitalist at bain is the central focus of his credibility and his qualifications are completely different things. >> ken vogle is with us.

hypocrite. >> depending on how this is received. >> fund-raising has been a surprising strength in this campaign. no matter who president obama faced, he would be a significant financial advantage. he has been very strong at reaching many and has very strong outside groups that can accept unlimited funds from his supporters while president obama has struggled on that front. and president obama has been off the fundraising pace, the historic fundraising pace that he had in 2008. >> so he has the attack ads against bain capital and the president was taking another strike at romney in iowa why are they suddenly stepping up attacks against romney? >> this is before people checked out during the summer and go to summer vacation activities.

they can define mitt romney before he has a chance to define himself. after all he just endured a rabbit protected and brutal primary on the republican side where his rivals were attacking him. he was not able to make the big biographical course as a new nominee on the national stage. the obama campaign has a chance to really pylon. if you notice, with the bain capital attacks that is a continuation of the mitt romney primary opponents. this is a real potentially fruitful line of attack. >> we will see what happens. thank you so much. there are plenty of memorial day
